Spring was made for Capitol Hill

Believe it or not, these pictures were taken AFTER the true peak of spring; it was even more beautiful last weekend. Gosh I love it here. Spring makes the walk to and from work so much better every day.

In case you didn’t notice, tulips seem to be quite popular. AND in case you were wondering, Jude was a real good boy on his walk. Happy Sunday!

Study Breaks

Friday Study Break:

1. Grilling our chicken dinner outside in the gorgeous spring weather

2. Making homemade apple crisp for dessert time with the Shugarts

Saturday Study Break:

1. Hamburger, fries, onion rings, milkshakes, scotch and whiskey at our dear Ted’s Bulletin and going home to try out the “Girl With The Dragon Tatoo” movie we’ve been toying with renting for the past year. (I’ll let you know what we think, we loved the books so its got a lot to live up to).

Things might be crazy stressful right now (only two more weeks until first year of law school is OVER), but it’s all about making the most out of the little moments.

we don’t know about you guys…but we think it’s time for sleeps.

as if Jeff Bridges could really get any cooler.

Who doesn’t love Jeff Bridges? I fell in love with him all over again after I found out he was doing the remake of True Grit. Now I might just love him even more (if that’s possible). Check out his website. You’ll find his photographs from movie sets:

ok. and here’s ONE from Tron…

a weekend hijacking (in the best kind of way)

This weekend the plan was to study, clean, study, love on Jude, and study… However, instead we got a surprise visit from our dear friend, Mason Savage, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled. Embarrassingly enough, we took zero pictures of this unforeseen reunion, so here’s a quick pictureless recap and some oldies for laughs:

There was hugging (lots of it), eating (mussels and frites of course), drinking (only the healthiest of amounts…), soul-bearing (obviously), quite possibly a little more drinking, laughing, Jude inspecting (with veterinary conclusions that Jude might be just a little bit TOO healthy…chubbs), midnight apple pie eating (I hate you Ted’s B. for closing at 10:30 instead of 11:00), and then goodbyes that came all too soon.

I’m so glad that husband got to spend some time with a much missed friend.

In other news: GO BRAVES!!!

Final score, Nationals 2 Braves 11. Yeah, didn’t make a lot of friends in the stands TODAY, but like my Aunt Michelle says, it’s ok, “they are all Braves fans deep down anyway!”

And in case anyone was worried, don’t be. Jonathan’s been studying ever since we got home from the game. We’ll sleep when we’re dead.
