Wow, apparently I do have some things to write about, considering this blog post was predominantely going to be about the Bachelorette weekend in GA and my weekend of sickness with the weim…I guess it’s ok though since I won’t really be able to give too many details regarding sweet Melissa’s bachelorette weekend :)

We spent the weekend on Lake Oconee, Georgia, and we couldn’t have had a better time. I knew all but two of the girls going into the weekend, and most of which I hadn’t seen in about a year. It was such an incredible weekend of deep conversation, laughter, sunning, a good amount of margharitas, dancing, silly shaped cakes, and celebrating Mel and her last few weeks of single-dom. Speaking of dancing, apparently Amy and I are trying to bring back our high school basketball dance moves: pictured above is the “holding foul dance”. That picture is included purely for embarrassment. :) I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate Mel and Jared’s wedding in July, I’m so exceedingly happy for them!
The only downside to the weekend, is the fact that I definitely picked up a bug from one of the ladies (yes, you both know who you might be) and have been fighting it all week since I got back. I thought I had beat it by wednesday, but alas, Thursday morning I woke up feeling awful. Aches, pains, fevers, sore throats, snots, you name it-I’ve got it. I ended up missing two days of work, and now I’ve logged a good 3 full days alone at home (Jonathan is at a bachelor party this weekend-wedding season has officially begun). There are only so many re-runs of Project Runway and America’s Next Top Model a girl can take… Although it seems to morph into something different each day, I’d say it’s definitely getting better. I’m doing everything I can to lay low and get lots of rest, since we leave Thursday night for Josh and Maggie’s wedding weekend in Charleston and I DO NOT, I repeat, I DO NOT want to be sick for their wedding! Not only am I incredibly excited to celebrate this special time in their lives, but it happens to be Jonathan and I’s anniversary weekend as well (2 years already?! so crazy). Too many reasons why I CAN’T and WON’T be sick by Thursday (positive thinking, let’s see if it really works). Judebear’s really been a trooper for me though. It’s not very fun having a sick mamma at home to take care of him, but he’s been really good at the park and snuggled with me whenever necessary (aka, most of the day). It’s now time to get some rest, I do believe that nighttime cold medicine is kicking in…
